Islay is famous for whisky and there are many distilleries here. Our small island is the perfect location for producing rich, smoky, peaty whiskies. This is due to the abundance of peat we have in the ground, which gives Islay whiskies their signature flavour. Itโs why weโre called Peatzeria after all!
The incredibly talented Scots artist Nichol Wheatley creates beautiful artwork all over Scotland. Public areas, hotels, bars and restaurants across the country are adorned with his contemporary wall art and paintings. And now, you can see his work at our very own Peatzeria Restaurant in Islay.
