Jazz Music Festivals in Scotland 2019

Here on Islay, we boast some of the best music festivals in Scotland. Lose yourself in our stunning surroundings while listening to some of the best talents around at our two music festivals this September.

As well as the Islay Jazz Festival, you can also enjoy the Jura Music Festival the following weekend. So come along for a holiday and soak it all up!

Islay Jazz Festival

Starting on the Friday 13th September, the Lagavulin Islay Jazz Festival runs through the weekend to Sunday 15th. Absorb the sounds of world class musicians playing at various venues across the island. Intriguing arrangements, stunning vocals, jazz, soul, rhythm and blues are just some of the styles in the line up. And, where else can you say you have consumed the rhythmic sounds of heartfelt music in the middle of a famous Scottish Distillery? Sounds wonderful – well it is.

Jura Music Festival

Only a week later, running from Friday 27th to Sunday 29th September is the one and only Jura Music Festival. Here you can experience this popular, dynamic festival in action in its 26th year of running. Start the weekend off with the Friday night concert and ceilidh. Then explore the numerous, talented acts from Saturday to Sunday. Finally, top it all off with the Sunday night concert in the Distillery Cooperage.
